DeadHouse (feature, 2004) On DVD now in all major stores In the tradition of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Last House on the Left, four teens venture on a roadtrip to visit family on their vacation. While driving, they are sidetracked and eventually lost in an unknown town. Looking for help, they are trapped inside a broken down house by a clown masked killer and tortured. Now with time against them they must learn to put their differences aside and try to survive their night at Dead House. DeadHouse is the first feature film by Shattered Dreams Productions. Primarily a horror/suspense driven company, Dead House began filming on May 15 2004 and ended in late September. Independently formed and finianced, the project had been in development since 2003 from which the script and title underwent constant change. Originally titled "No Face" the film was intended to be almost 80% different from the current storyline as it was intended to be totally original. Producers and Writers Pablo Maysonet IV and Brian Rivera decided to cut away from an original storyline due to budget limitations and a growing deadline. Original the film was slated to begin production in October 2003 and by September 2003 the script wasn't even 25% finished. After numerous brainstorms they decided to go about the script in a classic way. A big fan of films such as Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Evil Dead and Last House on the Left, Pablo realized the best way to make their first feature film without too much risk was to follow the original formula and thus DeadHouse was born, a tribute to classic 80 horror films. With a script then completed, casting was set in March and by late April, only three weeks away from principal photography, the cast was set. Real life sisters Tracey and Cara Dalton were to play on screen sisters Lisa and Christina. Anthony Carvalho playing the not so sharp but sympathetic Brandon and Shattered Dream's own Brian Rivera as the hitchhiking friend Seth. The role of Victor was already set for lifetime friend of Pablo, Shaun Israel. It was originally Shaun and Pablo who had created the on screen characters Kain and Victor. And although their original idea of the two villians had changed through script development the cast was set and ready for production. By the end of filming, DeadHouse had definately made it's impact on all cast and crew members, as relationships were destroyed, friendships were ended and most of all stress had been set. With tracking collars and magnetic boots securing them to the battlefield, they are given one random weapon and 48 hours to kill each other off. They must endure various "death traps" and trust no one in order to survive. If there isn't a winner within the 48 hours, all their tracking collars will detonate. The winner will have their slate wiped clean and free to go. Unknown to the driver of the broadcast, he picks up a suspicous hitchhiker who's only belonging is a guarded duffle bag. Shot in the summer of 2004, this short was produced for the Atlantic City Film Festival. Cast: Driver - Jose Ortiz jr. Hitchhiker - Pasquale Velez ---------------------------------------------- Copy Cat (short, 2005) Carl is a jealous and crazied ex boyfriend of Tina. After their break up and her new relationship, Carl goes insane and kidnaps Tina in the basement. Preparing to kill Tina, he plans to get away with the murder, by copy cating a local serial killer. With time running out, Tina must talk her way out of this situation before she is killed. This film was shot entirely for the Fangoria Blood Drive 2 DVD contest. Boyfriend - Pablo Maysonet IV Serial Killer - Harry Matlack ---------------------------------------------- Last Clean Up (short) 2005 When Santana is asked to "clean up" a former member of his biological company's "experimental" division, little would he know who in fact would be the victim. This short was shot in the editing and scenic style of Sin City . Cast: Santana - Sam Diabolo Adam - Adam Jordan - Pasquale Velez ---------------------------------------------- The Trade (short, 2006) Filmed for the NYC Midnight Movie Making Madness 2006 competition. They randomly selected a genre and subject to be completed within 2 weeks. The genre was a Fairytale, and subject was Insomnia. When the Insomnia fairy has his fairy wings injured at his last job he makes his client take his place. Now Trevor must become a temp. insomnia fairy and keep his client awake before the Sandman Fairy arrives.
